What's Happening?
Hilton has announced the opening of three new hotels at Barr Al Jissah, a coastal destination in Oman. The properties include Al Husn Hotel Muscat, Hilton Muscat Al Bandar, and DoubleTree by Hilton Muscat Al Waha. These hotels are strategically located
about 40 minutes from Muscat International Airport and are owned by The Zubair Corporation. Each hotel offers unique features, such as Al Husn's Omani fort-inspired design and private beach, Al Bandar's extensive event facilities, and Al Waha's family-friendly amenities. The hotels share several amenities, including swimming pools, tennis courts, and a private beachfront, and offer water sports and spa services.
Why It's Important?
The opening of these hotels is part of Hilton's broader strategy to expand its presence in the Middle East, aligning with Oman's Vision 2040 to attract 11 million visitors annually. This expansion not only enhances Hilton's brand visibility in the region but also supports local tourism and economic development. By integrating these hotels into the Hilton Honors loyalty program, Hilton aims to attract a global clientele, offering members exclusive benefits and flexible payment options. The development reflects a growing trend of international hotel chains investing in the Middle East, driven by the region's potential for tourism growth and economic diversification.
