Pilgrim’s, a subsidiary of JBS SA, has commenced the construction of a new prepared foods facility in Walker County, Georgia. The $400 million project will expand the company's U.S. operations by 300,000
square feet and is expected to create over 630 new jobs. The facility will produce fully cooked chicken products under the brands Just Bare, Pilgrim’s, and Gold Kist, serving both retail and foodservice channels. Construction is set to begin this fall, with hiring slated for 2027 to coincide with the completion of the first phase.
