What's Happening?
The Telluride Film Festival, a prestigious event held annually in Colorado, extends its reach to Dartmouth College with the 'Telluride at Dartmouth' program. This initiative, now in its 38th year, brings a selection of films directly from the Telluride Film Festival to the Hopkins
Center for special advance screenings. The 2025 edition of Telluride at Dartmouth will take place from September 17 to 21, featuring six films that represent the best in world cinema. The lineup includes 'Sentimental Value,' 'A Private Life,' 'Jay Kelly,' 'The Secret Agent,' 'La Grazia,' and 'Nouvelle Vague.' The event offers a unique opportunity for the Dartmouth community and the general public to experience these films in an intimate setting.
Why It's Important?
Telluride at Dartmouth provides an important cultural exchange by bringing high-quality films from a renowned international festival to a local audience. This initiative enhances the cultural offerings at Dartmouth College and provides students, faculty, and the surrounding community with access to films that might not otherwise be available. By showcasing a diverse range of films, the program promotes cultural awareness and appreciation for the art of cinema. It also strengthens the connection between the Telluride Film Festival and educational institutions, fostering a deeper understanding of film as an art form.
