Sidney Rosenbloom, a respected figure in the Rochester community, passed away at the age of 88 on January 12th. Born in Rochester, Rosenbloom was a graduate of Benjamin Franklin High School and the Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT). He served in the U.S.
Army Reserves and had a distinguished career at McCurdy and Company, where he rose to the position of Chief Financial Officer. Rosenbloom was instrumental in implementing computer systems and point of sale technology, as well as overseeing real estate development projects. He was also an adjunct professor at RIT, teaching retail math. Rosenbloom was known for his financial acumen and dedication to the McCurdy family. He was actively involved in the Greater Rochester Chamber of Commerce and the Knights of Pythias. He is survived by his wife Constance, his children, and eight grandchildren. A funeral service is scheduled for January 15th at Temple Beth-El, with interment at White Haven Memorial Park.
