Joseph Khlaleli from the Eastern Free State was honored as the New Entrant to Commercial Agriculture of the Year for his work in mixed farming, producing maize, sunflower, sugar beans, and Bonsmara cattle. His efforts in community involvement and sustainable practices have earned him recognition as AGT Foods Africa Emerging Dry Bean Producer of the Year. Linda Mthalane from KwaZulu-Natal was also recognized for her achievements in cattle farming, specializing in Simbra and Brahman breeds. Despite lacking formal agricultural training, Linda has successfully expanded her operations to include approximately 200 breeding cattle. Nkosana Mthimkulu from North West was acknowledged for his transition from a corporate career to agriculture, focusing on grain production and forming partnerships with major industry players.
