What's Happening?
euNetworks, in collaboration with Adtran, has launched a new quantum-safe private connectivity service called Quantum Shield. This service is designed to provide high levels of data protection for sensitive information moving between European data centers.
Built on Adtran's optical transport technology, Quantum Shield offers quantum-safe encryption and continuous optical and fiber plant monitoring. This service is aimed at enterprises with stringent security requirements, providing a secure, scalable data center connectivity solution across euNetworks' pan-European network.
Why It's Important?
The launch of Quantum Shield addresses the growing need for enhanced cybersecurity measures in response to evolving threats and regulatory requirements. As organizations across Europe accelerate their efforts to secure data in transit, this service offers a robust solution for protecting critical infrastructure. The integration of quantum-safe encryption ensures that data remains secure against current and future cybersecurity challenges, aligning with the EU's post-quantum cryptography roadmap.
What's Next?
euNetworks plans to offer Quantum Shield as an additional security layer for its Private Connect MOFN solution. As cybersecurity regulations continue to evolve, the demand for such advanced encryption services is likely to increase. This could lead to further innovations in data protection technologies and influence other providers to adopt similar solutions to meet regulatory standards and customer expectations.
