Kavango Resources has announced the discovery of an open-pit gold deposit at its Nightshift Prospect within the Hillside Gold Project in Zimbabwe. The deposit is anticipated to yield high ore tonnage and
strong gold grades per vertical meter. A mineral resource estimation forecasts production at 20,000 ounces at 0.86 grams per ton. Kavango plans to install a 300-ton-per-day gold processing plant at the nearby Bills Luck Gold Mine to process ore from Nightshift. CEO Ben Turney stated that this discovery validates Kavango's gold development strategy in Zimbabwe, focusing on near-surface, fast-track production targets. The company aims to begin shallow, selective open-pit mining in the first half of 2026 and will conduct further exploration to extend Nightshift's known strike length from 700 meters to 1,400 meters.
