Peruvian internet service provider MiFibra has implemented ZTE's XGS-PON technology to significantly enhance its fiber broadband services. This deployment includes ZTE's 10G PON solution, smart cloud platform, and Wi-Fi 6 terminal devices, aimed at improving
operational efficiency through automated network management. The upgrade has increased MiFibra's main fiber broadband offering from 800 Mbps/1 Gbps to 2 Gbps, serving over 20,000 subscribers. Additionally, MiFibra has expanded its services from northern Peru to Lima, launching a 5 Gbps service package that has attracted more than 5,000 users. The XGS-PON technology supports data-intensive applications such as 8K UHD streaming and professional VR/AR, while optimizing total cost of ownership and providing scalability for future service upgrades.
