Amaroq Mining has announced the discovery of high-grade rare earth element (REE) mineralization within the Nunarsuit mineral license area in South Greenland. This marks Amaroq's first confirmed REE occurrence,
signifying a strategic entry into the REE and critical minerals sector. The Ilua pegmatite zone, part of the Gardaq ApS joint venture, hosts REE mineralization with grades reaching up to 2.31% total rare earth oxide (TREO). The discovery is significant as the REE mineralization appears to be hosted in low uranium, 'traditional' mineralogy, which is conducive to conventional extraction and processing techniques. Initial fieldwork suggests an extensive REE-bearing pegmatite system, prompting further exploration and evaluation. Amaroq plans to conduct a scout drilling campaign in 2026 to assess the volumetrics of the prospect.
