The Abu Dhabi Investment Office (ADIO) has entered into a strategic partnership with Glydways, a company specializing in automated shuttles and transit networks, to explore the deployment of innovative
transit systems in Abu Dhabi. This collaboration was announced during DRIFTx, Abu Dhabi's exhibition for smart and autonomous mobility, as part of Abu Dhabi Autonomous Week. The partnership aims to develop a high-capacity transit system using autonomous electric vehicles on dedicated guideways, powered by Glydways' AI platform, Glydways OS. The initiative is part of Abu Dhabi's strategy to advance its industrial diversification agenda and enhance urban mobility.
