The South Orange County Community College District (SOCCCD) is enhancing workforce opportunities in Orange County through the expansion of its Advanced Technology & Education Park (ATEP). This initiative involves strong public-private partnerships and
collaboration with industry to create career-aligned learning pathways for students. The expansion includes a new 50,000-square-foot facility for culinary arts and automotive technology programs, increasing the developed area of the 61.4-acre ATEP project to 30 acres. Additionally, several corporate partner facilities, including Advantech's warehouse and headquarters, will open on-site this year. These efforts aim to provide hands-on learning opportunities, strengthen regional economic development, and align educational programs with current and future employer needs.
