The National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC) has elected new officers for the year 2026. Virginia Insurance Commissioner Scott A. White has been appointed as the president. White, who has served as Virginia's insurance commissioner since
2018, has a long history with the state's Bureau of Insurance, having joined as a research analyst in 1998. The election took place during NAIC's fall national meeting in Hollywood, Florida. Alongside White, Elizabeth (Beth) Kelleher Dwyer, the director of the Rhode Island Department of Business Regulation, was elected as president-elect.
