BAE Systems has rapidly developed a low-cost anti-drone capability for the Royal Air Force's Eurofighter Typhoon, compressing an 18-month engineering effort into just 42 days. This development integrates the Advanced Precision Kill Weapon System (APKWS)
guided rockets onto the Typhoon, providing a cost-effective solution to counter Iranian Shahed drones. The integration bypassed the usual lengthy weapon integration process, allowing the RAF to deploy this capability quickly in response to urgent operational needs.
