The Philippine Air Force (PAF) has upgraded its Embraer EMB-314B Super Tucano aircraft with new air-to-surface weapons. These include the Advanced Precision Kill Weapon System II (APKWS) from BAE Systems and the Lizard 3 laser-guided munition from Elbit
Systems. The integration was revealed through a photograph released by the PAF, showing the aircraft equipped with these munitions. The PAF operates six Super Tucano aircraft, which are used for close air support, light attack, surveillance, reconnaissance, air-to-air interception, and counter-insurgency missions. The new munitions were presented during a briefing at the 15th Strike Wing at Danilo Atienza Air Base, where pilot cadets were informed about the aircraft's enhanced capabilities.
