Eugene 'Gene' Ognibene, Sr., a cherished member of the Oak Brook community, has passed away at the age of 84. He is survived by his wife Lana, his sons Gene Jr. and Paul, and his grandchildren Jake, Ben,
Casey, and Quinn. Gene was a beloved figure, known for his deep family ties and community involvement. His passing is mourned by many, including his sister Agnes and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. A visitation is scheduled for December 19 at Sullivan Funeral Home in Hinsdale, followed by a funeral mass on December 20 at St. John of the Cross Catholic Church in Western Springs. Entombment will take place at Queen of Heaven Cemetery in Hillside. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
