A $10,000 reward has been offered for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the individual responsible for shooting a coyote known as Wendy in Studio City. Wendy, estimated to be about three years old, had been recognized by local residents

Following her capture, she received antibiotics and anti-inflammatory medication, and was fed soft foods. However, a veterinary examination revealed two pellets lodged in her head and a severe infection that had destroyed the upper jaw bone on the left side of her face. Wildlife Care of Southern California determined that the extent of the damage was too severe for any surgery or treatment to restore normal function, and keeping her alive would not be humane. The Simi Valley-based Southern California Pit Bull Rescue announced the reward, urging anyone with information about the shooting to come forward.
