Rodney Wayne Strother, a native of Augusta, Georgia, passed away on December 15, 2025, in Aiken, South Carolina, at the age of 72. Strother was well-known in the Augusta community, having been the operator and owner of Strother’s Printing, a family business
he joined in the late 1970s. He retired from the business in 2024. Strother was a graduate of Glenn Hills High School, where he was Salutatorian of the Class of 1971, and the University of Georgia, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism in 1975. He was also known for his love of trivia, music, and comedy. Strother is survived by his wife, Linda, his children, stepchildren, sisters, and several grandchildren and nephews. A funeral service is scheduled for December 22, 2025, at the First Baptist Church of Augusta.
