What's Happening?
Salt Lake Community College (SLCC) is offering a Math Endorsement program through its Workforce Training and Education department. This program is designed for teachers who are seeking an endorsement in teaching Middle School or Special Education (SPED)
Mathematics. The endorsement consists of six courses, including a secondary SPED math methods course and five math content and foundations courses. Prerequisites for some of the advanced math courses, specifically MATH 2130 and WTED 850, include Pre-Calculus and Calculus. The credit courses are offered on a rotating basis, while WTED 850 (Methods) is available as a non-credit course during the Fall and Spring semesters and can fulfill requirements for both SPED and Middle School Secondary Math Methods. Upon successful completion of the program, candidates will receive USBE Credits through their Altitude account.
