South Korea's exports of agricultural and food products have increased by 5 percent in the first ten months of 2025, reaching $8.59 billion, according to data from the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs. This growth is largely driven by strong
demand in regions such as the Middle East, the European Union, and North America. However, exports to the United States have only seen a marginal increase of 0.6 percent during the July-October period. This limited growth is attributed to escalating U.S. tariffs, which have impacted the competitiveness of South Korean products in the American market. Despite this, there has been a notable increase in exports to other regions, with shipments to the Middle East rising by 23.5 percent, fueled by demand for Korean ice cream, beverages, and sauces.
