What's Happening?
Swedish company Everdrone has unveiled the E3, a next-generation medical transport drone designed to enhance emergency response capabilities. The E3 drone, developed entirely in-house, can fly over 80 km/h while carrying up to 4.5 kg of critical medical equipment.
This marks a significant transition from the previous E2 platform, which relied on commercial components. The E3's proprietary design allows it to transport various medical supplies, including adrenaline, opioid antidotes, and bandages, beyond the single-defibrillator limit of its predecessor. The drone operates autonomously, aiming to reach emergency scenes in under three minutes, significantly reducing response times compared to traditional ambulance services.
