King Charles III has appointed Reverend Jennifer Adams-Massmann, an assistant chaplain and welfare officer at Cambridge University, as a canon of Westminster Abbey. Reverend Adams-Massmann, who currently
works at Peterhouse in Cambridge, will assume her new position in central London in the spring. In her role as canon steward, she will oversee the welcome and hospitality extended to worshippers, pilgrims, tourists, and other visitors at the abbey. Additionally, she will serve as archdeacon, responsible for the pastoral care of staff, volunteers, residents, worshippers, and visitors. Reverend Adams-Massmann expressed mixed emotions about leaving Peterhouse, where she has been a part of the community since 2019, but looks forward to her new responsibilities at Westminster Abbey.
