NASA's Polylingual Experimental Terminal (PExT) mission has successfully demonstrated the ability to switch satellite communications seamlessly between government and commercial systems. Launched aboard
the Bard spacecraft in July, PExT was tested alongside the TRACERS mission. The system relayed data to NASA's Tracking and Data Relay Satellite System (TDRSS) and several commercial satellites, achieving flawless performance. This innovation allows satellites to transition between different communication networks without data loss, a significant advancement for mission-critical operations.
