Curtis International has expanded its recall of Frigidaire-branded mini fridges, now covering nearly 964,000 units sold in the U.S. due to fire hazards. The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) reported that the fridges' internal electrical
components could short-circuit, igniting the surrounding plastic housing. This recall follows previous recalls of similar products, including Paris Hilton Mini Beauty Fridges and LG branded electric ovens. The affected mini fridges, model number EFMIS121, were sold at Target from January 2020 to October 2023. At least six incidents of the fridges catching fire have been reported, resulting in property damage.
