New South Wales (NSW) is set to install 159 new electric vehicle (EV) chargers in 48 regional hotspots as part of its third round of grants to boost EV charging infrastructure. The chargers, ranging from 22kW to 100kW, will be placed at iconic road trip
routes and key tourism destinations, including rest stops and visitor centers. The initiative aims to encourage road-trippers to explore regional towns, thereby supporting local economies. The $5.9 million project includes $3.2 million in private investment, with companies like NRMA and Woolworths involved in the installation.
