The East West Railway Company (EWR Co) is initiating a market engagement process to procure a major consultancy contract valued at up to £300 million. This contract is part of the East West Rail programme, which aims to establish a rail corridor linking
Oxford, Milton Keynes, Bedford, and Cambridge. The company is seeking an Integration, Technical, Operations, Assurance, and Environmental (ITOAE) Partner to provide strategic support throughout the project's development and delivery. The contract is expected to commence in August 2027 and run until August 2039. The ITOAE Partner will oversee technical, operational, environmental, and design activities, ensuring alignment with project objectives. The role includes responsibilities such as design integration, technical assurance, environmental management, and digital systems oversight. EWR Co emphasizes the importance of maintaining independence and governance by separating the ITOAE Partner from the Client Support Framework (CSF).
