California has introduced a new tool called DROP, designed to help residents request the deletion of their personal data from over 500 data broker websites using a single form. Starting August 1, data brokers will be required to process these requests
every 45 days. The initiative, led by CalPrivacy, aims to enhance privacy protection for Californians, with over 300,000 residents already signed up.
