What's Happening?
Angola has inaugurated a new production line for interceptor boats at the Lobinave shipyard in Lobito. The event was attended by General Francisco Furtado, who oversees the presidential security forces. The shipyard will produce various naval vessels,
including WP18 interceptors and stealth assault vessels. The facility is undergoing upgrades, including pier rehabilitation and the installation of a new floating dock. French company CMN is a key partner, responsible for assembling equipment. CMN has previously delivered several vessels to Angola and is currently building corvettes in collaboration with Abu Dhabi Shipbuilding.
