What's Happening?
The U.S. Coast Guard has awarded a $400 million contract to Whiting Turner Contracting Company for the design and construction of new facilities at the Coast Guard Training Center in Cape May, New Jersey. This project represents the largest shore construction award in Coast Guard history

Funded through the Working Families Tax Cut Act and annual appropriations, the upgrades will increase the center's capacity to train recruits from 5,500 to over 8,000 annually by 2030.
