to replace outdated advice with practical, fact-based guidance. The initiative aims to help individuals and small organizations protect their data by focusing on effective security measures such as keeping software updated, using strong passwords, enabling multi-factor authentication, and recognizing social engineering tactics. Over 80 cybersecurity professionals have endorsed an open letter advocating for practical cybersecurity guidance, including executives from major companies like Okta and Microsoft. The initiative seeks to consolidate accurate cybersecurity advice in one accessible location, promoting 'secure by design' and 'secure by default' principles.
