Triumph Group, Inc. (TGI) has been awarded a five-year indefinite quantity/indefinite delivery (IDIQ) contract valued at approximately $77 million by the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA). Under this contract, Triumph Integrated Systems, a business unit
of Triumph Group, will deliver Enhanced Digital Electronic Control Units (EDECUs) for the U.S. Army’s UH-60 Black Hawk and AH-64 Apache helicopter fleets. The EDECUs are crucial for upgrading the digital electronic control units on these highly utilized aircraft, providing enhanced engine control capabilities. Triumph’s Engine & Control business, located in West Hartford, Connecticut, is slated to manufacture approximately 3,100 EDECUs to fulfill the contract requirements. This contract follows Triumph's previous logistics contract in 2013 to replace digital electronic control units, stemming from their participation in the Army’s Universal Control Technology Program, where they developed a common controller designed to address obsolescence, improve engine health monitoring, and reduce system costs.
