Orange and Eutelsat have inaugurated a new satellite gateway in Martinique, aimed at boosting connectivity in the Caribbean region. The teleport, located in Lamentin, hosts 14 low Earth orbit antennas to provide enhanced satellite coverage for Eutelsat's
OneWeb constellation. This initiative is designed to improve connectivity in hard-to-access areas, benefiting residents, businesses, and maritime actors. The gateway is connected to submarine cables and terrestrial infrastructure, offering a robust and resilient hybrid network.
