What's Happening?
The United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) Finance Initiative (UNEP FI) is offering a six-month administrative internship. This internship can be based either in Geneva or conducted remotely. The selected intern will support the UNEP FI Administration
Team with various tasks, including assisting with Human Resources (HR) processes, managing documentation, and handling invoicing. The role requires strong organizational and administrative skills, along with a basic understanding of HR functions. Candidates should be in their final year of study or recent graduates in relevant fields such as Business Administration or Human Resources. UNEP FI is a strategic partnership between the United Nations and over 500 financial institutions, including banks, insurers, and investors, dedicated to advancing the international sustainable finance agenda. For over 34 years, UNEP FI has been instrumental in setting global standards and fostering a worldwide network of leading financial institutions, promoting sustainable finance through various workstreams, regional activities, peer learning, methodology development, training, and research.

This includes assisting with the review of consultant and intern Terms of Reference, ensuring compliance with submission standards, and supporting the HR focal point in following appropriate application processes. The intern will also help in collating necessary documentation for approvals and onboarding, liaising with interns and consultants for required paperwork, and maintaining HR files. Additionally, the role involves coordinating with consultants and team leads for timely recording of deliverables and providing administrative support for payroll processes. The intern will also assist with invoicing by tracking invoices and following up with member institutions. These tasks are critical for the smooth functioning of UNEP FI's efforts to promote sustainable finance globally.
