Allison Bolinger, a NASA flight director and Fairfield County native, delivered a presentation at a P.O.W.E.R. event in Lancaster, Ohio. The event, aimed at empowering women through professional development, featured Bolinger sharing her experiences and leadership
lessons from her 25-year career at NASA. Her talk, titled 'Tough & Competent – Lessons from a Mission Control Mindset,' emphasized the importance of preparation, adaptability, confidence, and collaboration. Bolinger's career began as an intern at NASA in 2001, and she has since played significant roles, including serving as the lead spacewalk flight controller for the Space Shuttle Endeavour's final mission. Currently, she is the deputy chief of NASA's Neutral Buoyancy Laboratory.
