JSerra High School's girls' flag football team secured the Division 1 title after defeating Orange Lutheran in a thrilling match at Fred Kelly Stadium. The Lions completed an undefeated season, finishing
with a 28-0 record. The game concluded with a dramatic goal-line stand, as JSerra's defense held Orange Lutheran from scoring in the final seconds, ensuring a 25-20 victory. Freshman quarterback Kate Meier played a pivotal role, scoring the winning touchdown with a minute left on the clock. JSerra's defense was instrumental throughout the season, intercepting multiple passes from Orange Lutheran's quarterback Makena Cook. The victory marks JSerra's third win over Orange Lutheran this season, solidifying their position as the top-ranked team in California.
