Born in Woodbury, Georgia, in 1945, she was the only child of Inez Brown Orosz and the late SGT Joseph Michael Orosz. Dr. Orosz pursued a career in medicine, graduating from the Medical College of Georgia School of Medicine in 1971. She completed her pediatric residency at T.C. Thompson Children’s Hospital, where she served as Chief Resident. Dr. Orosz opened her practice in Cartersville, Georgia, in 1974 and later joined the pediatric faculty at the Medical College of Georgia. Her career took a significant turn when she embarked on missionary work in Africa, serving in Liberia and Nigeria. She was appointed by SIM to Egbe Hospital in Nigeria, where she trained house officers in pediatrics. Dr. Orosz returned to the U.S. to care for her family and worked at Fort Gordon until her retirement in 2012. She is survived by numerous cousins and her dog, Bo. Funeral services are scheduled for September 19, 2025, at First Baptist Church of Augusta.
