Ohio University Lancaster has partnered with the Fairfield County Workforce Center to provide students with enhanced career opportunities in engineering technology. This collaboration, now in its fifth
year, offers an associate degree in engineering technology and certificates in automation, mechatronics, and semiconductor manufacturing. The program is designed to strengthen the region's skilled workforce in manufacturing, healthcare, and trades. Students like Tyler Merritt have benefited from this partnership, gaining promotions and valuable industry experience. Merritt, who lost his job during the COVID-19 pandemic, joined Mid-West Fabricating and pursued further education through the program.
