Sonardyne International has introduced the Nano Transponder, a compact USBL transponder designed for precise tracking in shallow-water environments. This system is engineered for AUVs, ROVs, and diver
operations, providing accurate positioning and fast updates even in challenging acoustic conditions. The Nano Transponder is built on Sonardyne’s 6G Wideband 2 acoustic platform and is compatible with Ranger 2 USBL systems. It is available in multiple versions, including NFC, connectorized, and OEM formats, offering flexibility for field use and integration. The system includes an internal depth sensor, a 500-meter depth rating, and up to 12 hours of active battery life.
