The Project Management Institute (PMI) celebrated the winners of the 2025 PMI Awards at the PMI Global Summit in Phoenix, Arizona. The awards recognize individuals, teams, and organizations for excellence
in project management. This year, Sub-Saharan Africa was prominently featured, with awardees from Angola, Ghana, Côte d'Ivoire, and South Africa acknowledged for their leadership, innovation, and social impact. Marco Romero from Angola received the PMI Rising Leader Award for his contributions to Angola's space ecosystem and STEM education. The MTN Ghana Project Management Office was named Africa PMO of the Year for its strategic alignment and executional excellence. Other honorees included Stéphanie-Laure Zoro from Côte d'Ivoire and South Africa's Greenpoint Educational Dome project.
