This represents up to a 50% savings compared to previous models, facilitating easier adoption of smart lighting. The bulbs require a hub for Wi-Fi connectivity, but the new Bridge Pro hub introduces motion sensing technology and can pair with up to 150 lights and 50 switches and sensors, storing up to 500 personalized light scenes. The bulbs now feature Thread, Zigbee, and Bluetooth, allowing integration into the Matter smart home protocol without a Hue Bridge.
