Paratus Group, a Pan-African telecoms and network services provider, has announced its expansion into Rwanda to provide and install Starlink LEO satellite services. This move aims to enhance connectivity
in the country, particularly in remote and underserved areas that lack traditional infrastructure. Paratus Rwanda will focus on key sectors such as retail, financial services, government, NGOs, agriculture, and tourism. The company is authorized to distribute Starlink services across its African markets following a 2023 agreement with Starlink. The LEO satellite service is designed to offer a resilient connectivity solution, especially in urban areas affected by subsea cable outages.
