Junction exercise at the Hohenfels Training Area in Bavaria, approximately 1,900 drones were utilized to simulate a modern battlefield environment. This year's drills pitted the resident opposing force from the 1st Battalion, 4th Infantry Regiment, against an invading coalition led by the Italy-based 173rd Mobile Brigade (Airborne). The opposing force's new Eerie Company, established in January, specializes in drones, reconnaissance, and electronic warfare, aiming to provide realistic training.
