What's Happening?
In Tomsk, Siberia, Rabbi Levi Kaminetsky and the local Jewish community faced extreme cold while constructing a large menorah made of ice for Hanukkah. Despite temperatures plunging to minus 37 Celsius,
the community persevered, waiting for a slight temperature rise to minus 20 Celsius to complete the structure. The menorah, a symbol of Hanukkah, was built with the help of local companies once conditions allowed. The menorah stands prominently in the city, symbolizing resilience and the triumph of spirit over harsh conditions.
