Curtis International has expanded its recall of Frigidaire-branded minifridges to include approximately 964,000 units sold in the U.S. This decision follows reports of fires linked to the electrical components
of these appliances. The recall now includes an additional 330,000 units of the EFMIS121 model, which were sold exclusively at Target. Previously, 634,000 units of other models were recalled. The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission has reported six incidents of fires causing property damage. Consumers are advised to stop using the recalled minifridges immediately and visit Curtis International's website for refund instructions. The affected products were manufactured between January 2020 and December 2023.
