Volz Servos has unveiled the DA 26 Brushless Actuator, a new product designed to enhance the performance and reliability of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). The actuator features a brushless DC motor and a contactless position sensing system, which together
eliminate mechanical wear and reduce electromagnetic interference. This ensures consistent operation in demanding environments. The actuator is housed in a saltwater-resistant aluminum casing that is HART-coated for corrosion protection and meets IP67 standards for dust and water resistance. It includes a Sub-D connector and built-in brackets for flexible installation. The actuator's six-stage, ball-bearing-supported steel gear train provides smooth torque transmission. It supports multiple electrical interfaces, including a PWM input and an RS-485 serial interface, which offers position data and diagnostic information. Optional humidity sensing is also available. The DA 26 series has been tested for over 3 million operational cycles and meets military standards for vibration and shock resistance.
