What's Happening?
CNN, along with ABC, CBS, Fox News, NBC, and the Associated Press, is collaborating with SSRS, a nonpartisan research company, to conduct comprehensive exit polling for the upcoming elections. This initiative
marks the first such collaboration since 2016. The Voter Poll will be conducted in key locations including California, New Jersey, New York City, and Virginia. Traditionally, exit polls have relied heavily on in-person interviews at polling stations on Election Day. However, this year, the methodology has been expanded to include early voters and those voting by mail. This change aims to provide a more accurate reflection of the entire electorate. The surveys will gather data from over 4,000 voters in each location, combining pre-election online and phone surveys with Election Day paper questionnaires.
