Paul Cooper has been named the new chief of police for the University of California, Irvine (UC Irvine). Cooper has been a member of the UC Irvine Police Department (UCIPD) since 2018, serving in various capacities including assistant chief of police and
twice as interim chief, most recently from June through August of this year.
