Ukrainian cyber forces have reportedly tricked Russian soldiers into revealing their positions and donating money to Ukraine's Armed Forces by posing as a service to help reconnect Starlink devices. Russian forces have been using unauthorized Starlink access
for military operations, but a new Ukrainian registration system has disrupted this. The Ukrainian cyber unit, in collaboration with InformNapalm and MILITANT, posed as a Russian-linked service offering to restore disconnected terminals. Russian soldiers were instructed to provide identifying information and terminal coordinates, which were then used to deactivate the devices. The operation also resulted in the collection of $5,870 from Russian soldiers, which is being donated to Ukrainian drone fundraising efforts. Additionally, the operation identified 31 Ukrainians allegedly assisting Russian forces, with their information forwarded to Ukraine's Security Service.
