What's Happening?
Babcock and Supacat have entered into a Memorandum of Understanding to collaborate on the British Army's Light Mobility Vehicle (LMV) program. This initiative aims to replace the current Land Rover fleet with modern mobility platforms under the broader
Land Mobility Programme. The partnership will leverage the Toyota Land Cruiser LC70 platform to develop a range of vehicle variants, including medium and long wheelbase models. The collaboration builds on a longstanding relationship between the two companies, which previously delivered the Jackal 3 program. The UK Ministry of Defence issued a Request for Information for the LMV platform in January 2025, seeking a common wheeled utility platform to modernize roles currently undertaken by Land Rover and Pinzgauer vehicles.
