Jackie, a well-known bald eagle from Big Bear, California, has died after her health deteriorated despite intensive care at the Ojai Raptor Center. Jackie gained national attention for raising eaglets
with her partner Shadow, and her life was closely followed through a livestream by the Friends of Big Bear Valley. She was transferred to the raptor center after being found ill following an attack by two other eagles. Despite receiving oxygen therapy and other treatments, her condition worsened, leading to her death. Her remains are now with the California Department of Fish and Wildlife.
