A significant fire broke out at a two-story commercial building in North Hills, Los Angeles, leading to the displacement of 27 residents from a nearby apartment complex. The Los Angeles Fire Department responded to the emergency around 5:43 p.m. on Tuesday,
with over 100 firefighters working to control the blaze. The fire threatened a neighboring four-story apartment building, prompting evacuations. Three people were evaluated by paramedics, and two women were hospitalized in fair condition. The fire was eventually extinguished after the roof of the commercial building collapsed, allowing firefighters to directly target the flames. The cause of the fire is under investigation by the LAFD Arson and Counter-Terrorism Section.
